Scott first became aware of golf as a young caddie in the suburbs of Chicago. He began as a caddie at the age of 12. As his love and understanding for the game grew, he wanted to become a better player. In his late teens he began to work with club professionals and golfers of all levels on improving their game.

During his time in university, he worked closely with local club pros and amateur players in central Illinois and the greater Chicago area that encouraged him to pursue his dream of being a golf instructor. He would do so for a few years.

After graduation, he began caddying for local area pros. He was able to help them overcome many challenges, both mentally and physically. Along the way he helped them win district and regional tournaments. After a few years of this, Scott decided to become a teaching professional. Scott then worked for a few years at courses in Illinois.

Although helping others improve their game in Illinois was enjoyable, Scott felt there were other opportunities for him elsewhere. So he came to Japan. In the summer of 2008, he began to familiarize himself with the golf scene in Tokyo. He joined the Jinji team in the autumn of 2008.

Scott is continuing to improve his knowledge of the game so that he will be a better teacher. He is currently working on his Level 3 certification from the USGTF.

Comment from the students

From Makiko, group lesson
Scotty is awesome! We are going to have group lessons at least onde a month!
Many thanks Jinji Center

From Robert, private lesson
I am enjoying the golf lessons very much.
Obviously, after only three lessons my improvement is limited but I did go to Windsor Park Golf and Country Club last weekend and shoot my lowest ever score on the course which must say something.
More importantly I found myself striking the ball far more consistently. Scott has a very good approach for me as he concentrates on one thing at a time with a variety of drills.
He makes the lessons interesting, reflects on what we are trying to achieve and talks about what we will be doing in future lessons according my development.

From Kenji, group lesson
I feel Scott is really good coach. Just hearing his advice, our shots become straight and fly far.
I'm looking forward to master different shots.

Nick started playing golf at the age of 10 in Malta, and although he only really started played seriously at 17, the initial experience had already made its mark and the passion was deeply ingrained.

During school and University in the UK he played for the respective teams and had access to some of the finest coaches available. On his return to Malta after long travels abroad, where he had the opportunity to play on many different courses, he represented the Malta team playing in many local and foreign tournaments. During this time he had the opportunity to coach in the junior academy, helping to introduce the game to children and adults alike.

With his considerable experience with coaches and skills development, coupled with his competitive knowledge and his love of teaching, Nick has a wealth of skills with which to help you to learn or improve your game, both on the range and on the course.
